The semi-annual meeting was opened at 1:02 pm by Duane Stubblefield with prayer. There was no old business. Brenda called for committee reports:
Diane Graham-Henry (Race Walking) – absent but submitted written report that was read by the secretary.
Jamero Rainey (Officials):
- at the Assoc & Reg 7 (2014) cross country there were eight officials.
- at the Dorothy Dawson (2015) there were 38 officials.
- at the Masters & Open Indoor (2015) there were six officials.
- there are a total of 123 officials.
- looking for more officials.
- Safe Sport trainings will be mailed.
- back ground checks are required.
Ruth Welding (Masters):
- will work on consistent dates
- Masters & Open Association meet is June 7th at Benedictine University.
- Expanding lines of communications via social media.
Marc Jones (Youth):
- Cross country and track will be on a two year rotation with Indiana.
- Region 7 cross country will be held in Illinois.
- State cross country, November 14, Regional cross country, November 21.
- State cross country will be Youth, Open & Masters.
- Online registration for state, regional and Junior Olympics will be done on Coach O.
- Online registration for Youth Worlds and Youth Nationals will be done on Meet Register.
- need facilities for next year’s meets. Looking for colleges because of facilities.
- Derrick Calhoun review advancement rules for sprints.
Brenda Kimbrough reiterated the following:
- State meet is a three day meet.
- there are registration deadlines for state meet.
- Illinois is hosting the USA Hershey National & the World Team. Help is needed.
- Each club that provides one worker at Association, 1 worker at regional 7 and three workers at Hershey Nationals, will receive their 2016 club membership free of charge. Deadline for
notification is May 15th.
Finally, Greg Butts, CEO Meet Register, did a presentations on Meet Register, our new site for registration for the World Team and Hershey Youth Nationals.
The meet was adjoined at 2:34 by Brenda Kimbrough.
