Meeting was started at 2:05 p.m. by President, Dorothy Dawson. She immediately called for the committee reports:
Win Eggers – Officials
- Thanked Jamero for managing official throughout the year of 2011.
- Advised that applications for Masters National meet is available.
- Advised that the state JO still need officials.
- Advised re-certification will take place next year. Re-certification requires JO work assignments.
- Advised that the ITCCA Clinic in January is an outstanding resources for officials.
- Advised that there is money in the bank.
Diane Graham-Henry – Race Walk -Not available. She accompanied three athletes to Penn Relays.
Marc Jones-- Youth
- Reviewed Zone Meet and National Indoor Meet
- Reviewed state meet at Kankakee HS.
- Reviewed Region 7 meet and advised that a location should be know by the upcoming week.
- Stated National Junior Olympics will be held in Baltimore, Md.
- Stated USA Youth National will be held in Arlington, TX.
- Advised of upcoming hipping/clerking change.
- Advised Hammer will not be contested at Association Championship.
Dorothy closed the meeting at 4:00 p.m. with the announcement that our own, Derrick Calhoun, coached the Youth IAAF World Youth Team, which won
outright for the first time.
