SCHEDULE & AGE DIVISIONS: 

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:  

This event is an all-comers cross-country championship.

Following are the USATF membership requirements:

Athletes 18 & under: a current USATF membership is required if you plan to compete at the Region 7 Cross Country Championship. If you do not plan to compete in the Region7 Cross Country Championships. a current USATF membership is not required.

Athletes 19 & over: a current USATF membership is required if you plan to compete in other USATF sanctioned championships. If you do not plan to compete in other USATF sanctioned championships, a current USATF membership is not required.

All: When a current USATF membership is required to compete.  Proof of Birth (copy of birth certificate, passport, certified baptismal record, driver’s license, or U.S. government identification) is required and must be submitted at least five (5) business days prior to close of registration. This allows time for the national office to process the verification.

Teams: Only current, registered USATF member clubs may enter a team. All athletes representing the club must be affiliated with that club as part of their USATF membership. To enter a team, a club must complete the team entry/declaration process during online registration. Only athletes listed on the team roster are eligible to represent the club at the Association, Regional or National championships.

TEAM SCORING: Eight (8) athletes on the team may be declared as scoring athletes.  The top five (5) finishers among the declared runners will score.  

COMPETITION BIB NUMBERS: All competitors must wear their assigned bib numbers during competition chest-high on the front of their jerseys.  Bib numbers will be distributed to athletes during packet pick-up. 

SCHEDULE: Packet pick-up will start at 8:00 am and will be available until the start of the last race.  A course walk through will begin at 9:00 am. Course maps for each distance will be provided.
 

Notes:

Day of meet entries will not be allowed for youth. Masters and Open athletes may register day of meet. Registration closes at noon. Day of meet registrations must provide a current USATF membership card.
 
EVENT RESULTS: During competition, live results will be posted online. Final event results will be posted at www.usatfillinois.org. Go to Association Championships/All Results.

AWARDS: 

• USATF Junior Olympic ribbons will be awarded to the top 15 individuals in each age division. 
• Masters and Open medals will be awarded to the top three (3) finishers in each age group. 

ADVANCEMENTS: Youth: - Top 50 individuals and top five (5) teams in each age group qualifies for the USATF Region 7 Cross Country Championships to be held Saturday, November 23, 2024, Proviso West High School, Hillside, Illinois. All eligible athletes must declare and pay for advancement entries at the following site:  www.athletic.net.

The USATF National Junior Olympic Championships will be held December 14, 2024, Shelbyville, Indiana.

The Masters & Open National Championships are held on various dates based on distances contested which starts September 2024.

ONLINE REGISTRATION: The registration site is:  

https://www.athletic.net/CrossCountry/meet/249803/info. The registration deadline is Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. For youth, the fees are paid online via a credit/debit card or electronic check.  

Masters & Open can registration online. The fees are paid online at the registration site.

ENTRY FEES: 

  All Individual Entries: $10.00 per athlete. 
  Day of meet: $15.00 per athlete Masters & Open only. 
  Team: Team entries are charged at the individual rate.
