Pre-Registration

Registration for this meet will be online at www.coacho.com. Registration information will be posted at www.usatfillinois.org. Online registration will run until mid-night, Wednesday, February 25th. Entry fee is $20.00 for the first event of each individual event an athlete enters and $5.00 for each additional event an athlete enters.  Relay participants will be charged $20.00 to participate in a Relay.

 

Event Day Registration: 8:00AM-10:00AM. NO ENTRIES OR CHECK-IN ACCEPTABLE AFTER 10:00AM. Athletes may also register the day of meet at Westwood. Late Entry fee is $25.00 for the first event of each individual event an athlete enters and $5.00 for each additional event an athlete enters. Relay participants will be charged $25.00 to participate in a Relay. Athletes may only register on meet day 8:00am-10:00am.

 

Payment: Online registration may be done with credit card only. Event day registration: Check or cash. Checks must be endorsed to “USATF IL.”

 

NO FAXED, SCANNED, OR E-MAILED ENTRIES ARE ACCEPTABLE FOR THIS MEET.

 

USATF MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED FOR THIS MEET.

 

If your age has not been verified by USATF, please bring a legible copy of a birth certificate or proof of age along with a verified USATF membership card for each athlete entered. Do not send in advance. 

 

Eligibility:                 

This meet is open to all Masters (30 and up) and Open athletes (19-29) who are 2015 USATF registered athletes. USATF memberships can be obtained through your Association Membership Chair (www.usatf.org/associations) or online (www.usatf.org/membership). You may not register for USATF membership on the day of the meet.  Non USATF cardholders are ineligible to participate in this the Illinois Association Masters and Open Championships event.  Age divisions are determined by year of birth on the day of the competition. Athletes must compete in their true age divisions. NO MOVING UP OR DOWN.

 

Check-In Requirements: If needed, numbers will be provided at the Registration Table for all athletes.  Be sure to bring your USATF membership cards when you check in.  An admission charge of $3.00 for adults and $1.00 for children 12 and over will be collected at the gate to help defray the cost of running the competition. All profits from the competition will be deposited with USATF IL to go towards Masters events.

 

Awards: Individual USATF medals will be awarded to participants who finish 1st - 3th place in each individual Association Championship event.

 

Officials: Anyone desiring to officiate at this meet is encouraged to contact USATF IL or Jamero Rainey, USATF IL Officials Chair, at jamrainey21@gmail.com. Please be sure to thank our volunteers and Officials for their time dedicated to our Masters/Open Championships event.

 

Facility: Due to facility change, Shot Put is the only Throws event that may be conducted. We will change venue for 2016. The indoor track facility at Westwood is a SportTan six lane, 200 M oval with an eight lane, straight-away.  Field event venues include dual runways for the horizontal jumps and the pole vault.  No pin spikes are allowed. Athletes may only use Flats or one-quarter (1/4) inch pyramid spikes.   Some parking to close to the entrance of the complex may be reserved for handicapped athletes, meet workers and officials.  Your cooperation will be appreciated to leave this spots for these persons.. No radios, glass containers, smoking, tobacco, or alcoholic beverages are allowed in the facility.  

 

Timing and Results: Fully Automatic Timing (FAT) will be provided by Newman High School. A clock will be provided by the Rock River Road Runners.  Once fully verified, official results will be posted at www.usatfillinois.org.

 

Equipment: There will be some starting blocks but athletes are expected to bring their own. Field event athletes are expected to bring their own implements. Weighing of implements will take place at Registration. Please do not expect the facility to have equipment for you.

 

 

Directions to Westwood Sports Center: Address: 1900 Westwood Drive, Sterling, IL

 

From the East:   Take I-88 West to Illinois 40 (Exit 41). Turn right onto Illinois 40 into Rock Falls. Follow IL-40 through Rock Falls and go over the Rock River bridge into Sterling. Once in Sterling, IL-40 turns into 1st Avenue (don’t curve left, keep straight). Follow 1st Avenue until you reach a “T” intersection. CGH Hospital will be directly in front of you. Take a left; this is LeFevre Rd. Follow LeFevre Road about 2 miles. Westwood Sports Center will be on your right; turn onto Westwood Drive. Turn right to Building One.

 

From the North:           Take I-39 south to I-88 West to Illinois 40 north (Exit 41).

 

From the Southwest:   Take I-74 west to I-88 East to Illnois 40 north (Exit 41).

 

From the West:            Take I-80 East to I-88 East to Illinois 40 north (Exit 41).
